Today is daytime TV star, Susan Lucci’s 63rd birthday!

Even if you aren’t a big soap opera fan, you’ve heard of Susan Lucci — aka Erica Kane on ABC’s All My Children. She’s been called “Daytime’s Leading Lady” by TV Guide and is cited as the highest-paid actor in daytime TV.

But what she might be best known for is her 18-year losing streak. Yes, Susan Lucci was nominated for the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series 18 times before finally winning in 1999!
